Maggie Stevenson loves projects combining traditional genealogy and DNA results. She has a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of St Andrews (Scotland) in English Language and Literature. New York and California are her favorite states to research, as well as projects involving Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Canada, Italy and Germany.
Education and Training
Maggie has a Masters of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland. After several years of running a family (including coordinating transatlantic and cross-continental moves as well as hundreds of volunteer hours), Maggie completed the Boston University Certificate in Genealogical Research and the ProGen study group. She then worked as an independent genealogist taking private clients with specialties in unknown bio parent research and ancestral Scottish, English, and Irish genealogy. Maggie managed nearly 1,000 client projects as a Project Manager at Legacy Tree before moving to her current role as a Research Team Manager in 2024. She’s known for her precision, professionalism, and collaborative approach.
