Jeri’s love for genealogy began with the stories told by her great-grandmothers and the inheritance of a house full of documents and letters dating back to 1813. The spark was lit, and the journey has never stopped.
Jeri has over 30 years of experience in traditional genealogy research. She is a graduate of the ProGen 34 study group, a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the National Genealogy Society. Jeri’s favorite explanation of her passion for genealogy is, “Genealogy is like archeology: you can’t lose a single grain, or you’ll miss the jewel.” She loves finding the jewels for LTG clients.
Education and Training
With many years of education, beginning in 1990, Jeri is an alumnus of ProGen 34 and currently pursuing certification through the Board of Certification of Genealogists. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and multiple Genealogy Societies. Jeri regularly attends yearly genealogy institutes, including the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG), the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR), and the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP).
