Randy Whited is a senior genetic genealogist with over thirty years of experience in genealogical research and more than two decades working with DNA evidence. With a strong foundation in both traditional and genetic genealogy, Randy specializes in helping clients resolve unknown parentage cases, analyze complex DNA match clusters, and uncover stories hidden in both records and chromosomes.
Randy has solved numerous cases involving adoptees and misattributed parentage, some reaching as far back as the 1880s.
Education and Training
Randy has completed advanced coursework through the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and other workshops and has been a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences including RootsTech. He is also a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

Experience
A genealogy educator since 2006, Randy is a long-time volunteer in the genealogical community. He is a former president of the Texas State Genealogical Society, served on the Board of Directors for the Federation of Genealogical Societies, and has led the Capitol Area DNA Special Interest Group in Austin since 2015. He also volunteers with the DNA Doe Project and administers the Whitehead/Whited/Whitted Y-DNA Surname Project.
