Experience
Keri became interested in genealogy because her family had more mysteries than stories. She loves finding the facts and details to construct a family’s narrative, especially piecing together the clues that pinpoint the ancestral homelands of immigrants. Keri's career began as a copyeditor for several newspapers and academic journals. She also taught English in the Czech Republic and India before earning her M.A. in Library and Information Sciences. As a librarian at Eckerd College, she trained college students to locate and differentiate source materials.

In the course of her studies, she has published several articles in genealogical journals. She serves on the Board of her local genealogical society and has been the co-editor of the society newsletter since 2020. In 2022, the newsletter earned the top award in the large society category from National Genealogical Society. When she's not doing genealogy, she loves spending time with her family—playing games of all sorts, hiking, and exploring tidepools on the Oregon Coast.
