We LOVE Terra Costin around here. She’s been with us since 2006 and has helped hundreds of clients with their genealogy. Just last week we received raving reviews about Terra from yet another happy client.
Terra Costin first became interested in her family history when her grandmother hired several professionals to help trace their paternal family line, and each of them came up with nothing beyond her great-great-great-grandfather in Iowa in the 1850s. Sure that there must be information out there somewhere, Terra began her own research. At the time, she was a History major at Brigham Young University, so adding some Family History classes fit into her degree. She soon realized that she felt just as much interest and passion for finding the families of other people as she did for her own, and ended up receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Family History/Genealogy from Brigham Young University.
Terra has managed client projects worldwide and her personal research expertise includes the United States, especially the mid-western states, and England. She is also a member of the APG (Association of Professional Genealogists).
Outside of work, Terra enjoys mountain and road biking, reading, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. She is also still researching her own family…including her difficult line that started it all!
Terra writes regularly for Legacy Tree’s blog. One of her popular posts talks about how to apply to become a member of the Sons or Daughters of the American Revolution: https://www.legacytree.com/blog/how-to-become-a-member-of-the-sons-or-daughters-of-the-american-revolution.
