Once you have made your half payment for research, we can begin the process of researching your family tree. The first thing you will receive from us is a Welcome Letter detailing what you can expect from us and including an estimated date for your project to be finished (usually 9-12 weeks from the time your project is begun). In order to begin research, we will need information from you regarding what your research objectives are and what information you already know.

Your research objectives and the information you provided to us will be given to one of our professional genealogists who is best suited for the geographical area or time period relating to your objectives. This genealogist will research mainly from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, but information will also be obtained through internet websites (both subscription and free) and through other agencies and archives when needed. The genealogist will create a full report of the research performed and what was discovered, and will also provide a list of all sources searched including documents relating to your family.

We are very careful to ensure that our clients receive quality, accurate work. Each project goes through an editing process in which the research and report are scrutinized and prepared to be received by the client.

Family charts (both printed and digital) will be prepared for you regarding the family tree that was researched during the session. Your web page will also be updated with the research report, scanned documents, and digital family tree. After your final payment, you will be provided with access to this private web page and will be able to share it with relatives or friends.

After your project has gone through the editing process, your presentation binder will be prepared, which includes our research report, list of sources searched, documents, and family charts. Once final payment has been made, this will be mailed to you via USPS. We generally finish projects 9-12 weeks from the time a research project was begun. We follow up with every client to ensure that the binder was received and to answer any questions that you may have.
